Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon

Mr Bhalla qualified in 2005, and has been in practice for 14 years. He is working as a full time Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Spinal Surgery. He has training and expertise in all forms of Orthopaedics, and Spinal surgery. As he is fellowship trained working in a tertiary referral centre as part of a major trauma centre (MTC) within the NHS, he is well suited to giving expert opinions on a variety of spinal conditions.

He has engaged in formal training in report writing and has attended courses at Bond Solon including "excellence in report writing", courtroom skills and cross examination, en route to completing the CUBS certificate. He has also passed the examination in civil procedure and law.

Furthermore he has a passion for a deeper understanding of medical law and is currently a part time student at Cardiff University studying for a formal qualification, the LLM in the "Legal Aspects of Medical Practice". He has successfully completed with merit year one of the 2 year program, with a specialized dissertation in spinal surgery to follow. He is also an honorary lecturer at Keele university and participates in the teaching of undergraduate students in medical ethics and healthcare law. He is also a member of the clinical ethics forum at UHNM.

He is willing to accept instruction on the full range of spinal conditions listed above. He is the managing director of Zenith Medicolegal LTD, and take instruction on negligence, medical malpractice, personal injury, liability and causation reports, and surgical errors, in all fields of Orthopaedic and Spinal surgery.

He is fully conversant with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR 35), the Practice Direction (PD35) and the PreAction Protocols.
