Eden Project

We're an educational charity on a mission to reconnect people with the natural world. Our home is in an exhausted clay pit in Cornwall, once a great scar on the landscape, now quite possibly the most extraordinary garden created this century.

The plants aren't just for decoration. They're here to tell stories about where our food, medicine and materials come from, about how the living world works, and about how we might live better as a part of it, not apart from it. What began as conversations over a pint has grown into a charity working across the UK and around the world, creating new Edens, teaching, and helping nature recover.

Our purpose is to enrich life by demonstrating and inspiring positive action for the planet. We do this by:

  • Delivering conservation projects that address biodiversity and climate change head on
  • Championing the importance of nature to people through nature-based social prescribing activities
  • Bringing people together to care for nature, each other, and their communities
  • Facilitating nature-based learning for everyone from pre-school to degree level and beyond

Everything comes back to one belief. When people reconnect with nature, they're moved to look after it, and small actions add up to real change. We've been proving it in Cornwall since 2001, unearthing wonder in a place most people had written off. And we're only just getting started.

Our future projects will address some of the most pressing issues of the 21st century: nature depletion, mental and physical health risks, social cohesion and climate adaptation – work that will only be possible thanks to donations and gifts in Wills.

Rainforest Concern

Rainforest Concern has been working since 1993 to conserve threatened habitats, the vast biodiversity they contain and the people who still depend on them for their survival. In that time, we have worked in 13 countries and helped to protect over 2.2 million hectares (5.5 million acres) of threatened forest.

We rely on the generosity of our supporters to help us keep protecting some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. Leaving a gift in your will to Rainforest Concern means that you can help protect our planet - the only home we have - and the amazing species we share it with. We would not be able to continue our work without the vital support of legacy donations.

By leaving a gift in your will to Rainforest Concern, you can help us make a better future for your children and the generations yet to come.

If you’d like to discuss leaving a legacy, please call Rainforest Concern on 01225 481151, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. To see the broad range of conservation work we undertake, please visit www.rainforestconcern.org
