Howard A. Jenkins Dip Bldg Cons (RICS) FRICS MAE MPTS is the sole principal of The Howard Jenkins Consultancy.
Howard has more than forty five years experience as a building surveyor. This includes: building construction, the procurement process, contractual disputes, building inspections, defects - their analysis and remediation, dilapidations, conservation, party wall matters and professional performance. Howard's principle areas of consultancy are now party wall matters, dilapidations and providing expert advisor and expert witness services.
For almost 25 years, Howard has been instructed frequently to act as expert advisor and expert witness in property and construction disputes with values ranging from £50,000 to £100 million.
Howard is a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) prize winner, qualifying in 1981 and becoming a Fellow of the RICS in 1987. Currently, Howard sits on the RICS Dispute Resolution Working Group Board, is a member of the RICS Expert Witness Accreditation Scheme and also an accredited expert witness. Howard is a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Society (for party wall surveyors) and the Dilapidations Association. He is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators.
