Mr Ian Simmons has been involved in medico-legal work since 2000 for both claimant and defendant and can also act as a Single Joint Expert. His specialist areas of expertise include:
Mr Simmons writes around 150 medical reports per year and regularly takes part in telephone conferences and meetings with Counsel.
He has been to Court on a number of occasions, both locally and nationally, primarily in conjunction with children who have suffered non-accidental injury. He is part of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ Ophthalmology Working Party for child abuse. He has completed Bond Solon training.
Mr Simmons has been involved in a number of General Medical Council Fitness to Practice hearings.
