Dr Jason Maratos acts as an expert witness, including the preparation of psychiatric assessments and giving evidence in court, in cases involving his specialist areas of expertise. These include:

• Trauma and post traumatic disorders in children and adolescents.
• Family law (child protection, disputes between parents on residence and access).
• Parenting (competence) assessment
• The presence of mental disorder in a parent
• Need for treatment and prognosis
• Recommendations on (parental) conflict resolution

Dr Maratos can take instructions on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
