I am a highly experienced commercial expert within the medical device and healthcare industry and have very broad knowledge of the regulatory, legal and practical issues concerning the marketing, use and failure of medical devices and the healthcare industry. My experience has been gained through commercial positions in blue chip medical device manufacturers with global experience of the sales, marketing, manufacturing and regulatory functions over two decades. More recently I was the Medical Device and Strategy lead within the NHS for Medical Device Analysis and Private Patients. With this sound knowledge, I am able to quickly gain an insight into the core issues which is invaluable in this multi-layered highly complex arena.

My experience has meant I have travelled the world visiting countries to train surgeons on how to use orthopaedic products and organised and held conferences for orthopaedic surgeons and sales employees to train and educate them oin a wide variety of implantable devices including orthopeadic devices such as hip replacements and knee replacements.
I'm very approachable, easy to work with, a good communicator and able to

From a legal perspective I have experience of working with UK, Europe and USA attorneys. In particular I have provided consultancy to US attorney firms on the metal on metal hip products cases and also potential issues around manufacture supply and promotion of products. I’ve worked on a number of different cases including civil and criminal.
Medical Explants Ltd is a company we founded which is also can provide the transportation and logistics of failed medical devices (hazardous goods).
I have a thorough understanding of product failures and litigation and the complexities involved with medical devices and the various roles involved when the clinical analysis is just part of the jigsaw.
Products I have a greater in-depth knowledge of include orthopaedic related products, however the application the overall industry knowledge is relevant to all medical devices with the introduction of the new Medical device regulations.
