Dr Mark Rosenthal has been a medicolegal expert for 22 years, being asked to give an opinion on some 400 cases in his field either for the complainant, the defence or as a single joint expert. He has appeared at the high court 5 times and the court of appeal once. However most cases never get to court being either settled or not pursued on the basis of the experts' opinion.

Previous medicolegal cases have involved delays in diagnosis and mismanagement of children with cystic fibrosis, asthma, inhaled foreign bodies and pneumonia as well as the relationship of housing conditions to symptoms and suffocation risk in relation to certain toys.
Dr Rosenthal can take instructions on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
