Mr Leatherbarrow was a consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital specialising in this field from 1992 to 2014. He is now in full time private practice.

He has over 100 publications in the medical literature, 5 book chapters and is the single author of the textbook Oculoplastic Surgery (3rd Edition published by Thieme in 2019).

Mr Leatherbarrow has been preparing specialist expert witness reports since 1994. He prepares 75-100 reports per year, for both Claimants and Defendants.

Reports are produced within 4-6 weeks of receipt of all relevant information.
