Dr Sheela Shah MBBS MD FRCP
Consultant Physician in Stroke, Adult and Geriatric Medicine
Dr Sheela Shah has 24 years’ experience in NHS England as a Consultant Physician in Stroke and Neurovascular Medicine and is a GMC UK-accredited specialist in the fields of Geriatric Medicine and Adult Internal Medicine.
Dr Shah specialises in cases relating to all fields of acute hospital medicine – including cerebrovascular disease and neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology, chest, hepatobiliary and metabolic medicine.
She undertakes expert witness instructions, including the preparation of medico legal reports and appearing in court, in medical negligence cases relating to these areas of expertise. She also supports the National Crime Agency in such cases.
Dr Shah has over 10 years’ experience as an Expert Medical Witness supporting civil cases of medical negligence claims and criminal cases of adult safeguarding claims, either as a single joint expert or on behalf of the claimant or defendant.
She is a Certified Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) expert witness, member of the National Register of University Certified Expert Witnesses and on the Forensic Medical Advisory Team of the National Crime Agency.
