Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon

Mr Paul Wilson is an experienced consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon. He has recently retired from his NHS practice where he was sarcoma lead clinician at North Bristol NHS Trust, in addition to specialising in reconstructive head and neck surgery. He has also developed a busy private cosmetic surgery practice over the last 12 years.

Sarcoma management and soft tissue reconstruction was at the heart of his NHS practice. Mr Wilson has performed many free flap reconstructions for sarcoma, head and neck, and upper limb abnormalities and has operated on many sarcomas and deep soft tissue tumours. Many of these required complex excisions and reconstructions.

He also has extensive experience in the head and neck surgery with an additional 8 years experience in maxillofacial surgery, including head and neck oncology.

His current full time practice is aesthetic surgery, with a special interest in rhinoplasty and facial surgery.

Mr Wilson acts as an expert witness in personal injury and medical negligence cases relating to his specialist areas of expertise. These include:

  • Aesthetic surgery complications and revision surgery
  • Scars, wounds, burns, skin grafts and other forms of disfigurement
  • Hand injuries and hand surgery complications
  • Facial trauma including fractured nose
  • Nerve, vascular and tendon injuries
  • Complications of cosmetic, reconstructive and plastic surgery
  • Complex limb injuries including open fractures, amputation
  • Management of skin cancer and soft tissue sarcoma
  • Iatrogenic injuries such as pressure sores, torn skin and extravasation

Appointments are usually available for clients requiring a condition and prognosis report within two weeks of instruction.
