Dr Damian Kelly BSc(MedSci) MBChB(Hons) MD FRCP
Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Damian Kelly was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in 2011, specialising in interventional cardiology (coronary angioplasty and stenting) and general cardiology. He has published research papers on myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease and book chapters on aspects of interventional cardiology.
He has management experience as Clinical Director for Specialist Medicine and past chair of the NHSE East Midlands Cardiovascular Advisory Group. In 2020, he was appointed to the British Cardiovascular Society Guidelines and Practice committee, advising NICE on cardiovascular issues.
Dr Kelly acts as an expert witness, including the preparation of medico legal reports and giving evidence in court, in medical negligence cases across the breadth of general cardiology, including chest pain, acute coronary syndrome, palpitations, hypertension and lipid disorders.

He has completed expert witness training, sits on the medical panel for Inspire MediLaw, is a member of AvMA and registered with ICO.
Dr Kelly can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert and aims to provide completed reports within six weeks of instruction.
