Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Mr Jonathan Hyde is an experienced consultant specialising in adult cardiothoracic surgery and has been performing medico-legal work for more than 15 years.
He was appointed as a consultant in Brighton in 2001 and has been in continuous employment since then. He performs medico-legal consultations at The Spire Hospital, Brighton and at The London Bridge Hospital.
Mr Hyde is qualified to give opinions and prepare reports on a wide scope of cardiothoracic practice including pre-operative, operative and post-operative care related to elective and emergency heart surgery, including the aorta and intra-thoracic structures.
He has a particular specialist interest in chest trauma, and a large proportion of his previous medico-legal work relates to injury to the thoracic cage and the internal organs and structures of the chest following trauma.
