Michael Joseph Consulting (MJC) was founded by Mike Trippitt in 2015. Mike has a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework, and the drivers of profitability and equity valuation in financial institutions.

Based on 30 years' experience in the banking sector, MJC provides analysis, valuation and expert witness services for a number of areas including legal, corporate finance, prudential regulation and bespoke equity analysis. They offer dispute resolution, forensic analysis and mediation services.

• MJC acted as a testifying expert witness for the Lloyds Banking Group shareholder action related to Lloyds TSB’s 2008 acquisition of HBOS. The work required assessment of the valuation impact and market reaction to hypothetical prospectus disclosures.
• MJC were retained as a non-testifying expert on the RBS shareholder action related to its 2008 Rights Issue prospectus. Substantial valuation and analysis was required to support the defence team's work.
• MJC was retained as an expert in a shareholder action against a Hong Kong listed bank.
• MJC has been retained in a regulatory action against a UK bank.
