Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Dr William Rush has worked as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in busy teaching hospitals in both New Zealand and the UK. He is able to advise on the expert management of all cases presenting to an Emergency Department, including major trauma and resuscitation, minor trauma and all medical complaints.
His expertise covers initial assessment and treatment, risk stratification and discharge planning, referral to all specialties, admission to the Clinical Decision Unit, and the delivery of critical care in resuscitation.
Dr Rush has significant experience in paediatrics so can comment on the appropriateness of care given to paediatric patients in smaller or mixed Emergency Departments.
Dr Rush can take instructions on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
