Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon
Mr Mateen Arastu is an orthopaedic and trauma consultant with special interests in complex trauma care of multiple injured patients in one of the UK’s busiest trauma centres. Regular open fracture treatment is performed with plastic surgical colleagues (orthoplastic work). He also performs regular non-union, revision fracture fixation, lower limb arthroplasty (primary hip and knee replacement surgery).
Mr Arastu is the education and hip fracture lead for the trauma & orthopaedic department at UHCW. He also teaches regularly as national faculty on a number of orthopaedic trauma courses.
