Professor John Powell has over 30 years’ experience as an expert witness in both commercial and criminal cases.
Over the years he has worked on a wide range of engineering issues as an expert witness for the claimant, the defendant or as a joint expert. Dr Powell has also worked on the arbitration of cases where the parties involved have wanted to avoid legal action.
Professor Powell has over 35 years' experience as the technical director of two engineering firms and as a visiting Professor of Engineering at two universities - Nottingham and Stuttgart. He is also a director of Engineering Witness Ltd. which provides expert witness services over a wide range of technical and engineering matters, from high-tech machine warranty problems to domestic plumbing issues.
