Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Anna Wybraniec is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years’ professional experience in clinical psychology, working in the NHS and in private practice in London. She has been involved in preparing medico-legal reports for courts since 2000.
Anna specialises in psychological assessments of clients suffering from personal and criminal injuries resulting from traumatic events, including road traffic accidents, work and industrial accidents, animal attacks, physical and sexual assaults, emotional and physical abuse, robberies and medical negligence.
As an expert witness, she has prepared reports for clients suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioural problems, including anxiety disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder, phobias, panic disorder and generalised anxiety disorder, as well depression, adjustment disorders and chronic pain. In addition, she has assisted in criminal cases, IQ assessments for fitness to plead and assessments within the Mental Capacity Act.
For assessment of chronic pain and somatoform disorders, Anna has gained expertise over 17 years - initially through working at the INPUT Pain Management Clinic at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, and later through attending various seminars and workshops and assessing and working with clients in her private practice.
Anna has acted on behalf of both claimants and defendants and as a single joint expert.
Since 2000 Anna has attended various training courses, workshops and conferences in relation to all aspects of medico-legal practice. In particular she has completed training in Report Writing; Meetings of Experts; Fees, Charges and Terms of Engagements; and Courtroom Skills provided by the Society of Expert Witnesses.
