Consultant Urological Surgeon
Mr Nadir Osman is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He is a recognised expert in urological diseases and has specialist interests in urinary tract reconstruction, working within a team that provides an internationally recognised tertiary referral service.
His areas of specialist expertise are in the treatment of urethral strictures, complex incontinence, urinary fistula, refractory bladder problems and urinary tract injuries arising from trauma or surgery.

Mr Osman has undertaken specialist training in medicolegal report writing and is aware of the requirements of Part 35 and Practice Direction 35, the Protocol for the Instruction of Experts to Give Evidence in Civil Claims and the practice direction on pre-action conduct.
He keeps up to date with medicolegal developments and published the first national analysis of urological litigation in the UK (Osman NI, Collins GN. Urological litigation in the UK National Health Service (NHS): an analysis of 14 years of successful claims. BJU Int 2011;108:162-5) which has become the most widely cited work on the topic.
