Professor Martin Bunnage is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 20 years clinical experience across a broad range of neurological and psychiatric disorders in adulthood. He has worked in both adult neuropsychological assessment and brain injury rehabilitation settings across the pathway of care from acute through to community.
Professor Bunnage has been undertaking medico-legal work since 2007 and accepts approximately 25 new instructions per year. He accepts instructions in civil and family law cases. The majority, more recently, have been within civil litigation, regarding matters of personal injury and clinical negligence.
Reports are thorough, with attention to detail, and opinions are clearly expressed and appropriately explained. He has given oral evidence in Court.
Professor Bunnage has been trained in medico-legal work and undertakes specific medico-legal CPD alongside professional CPD in Clinical Neuropsychology. He also undertakes specific medico-legal peer review to help maintain high standards of competence in medico-legal work.
His waiting list for a new medico-legal appointment is typically around six months and reports are usually available within 4-6 weeks of an appointment. He offers regular clinics in Bristol and in London, although assessments and home visits can be undertaken nationally upon prior agreement.
Professor Bunnage accepts instruction from either Claimant or Defendant, or as a Single Joint Expert. Most recently his instructions have been 50:50 claimant defendant.
