Mr Timothy Hetherington established Applied Engineering Design Limited as a sole practitioner in 2008, and has gone on to build the firm into one of the more respected small practices in Scotland in the intervening period.

Mr Hetherington has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, covering a wide range of engineering activities, both on site and in the design office. Initially practising as a civil engineer working on geotechnical and land remediation projects, his career emphasis has been on structures since 1997.

He can undertake expert witness instructions, including the preparation of expert reports and giving evidence in court, in cases relating to professional negligence in building engineering. His areas of expertise include:
