Mr Nick Ellison is a senior director in the Data Insights and Forensics practice, based in London. Nick leverages more than 14 years of IT technology consultancy and software development experience.
He has assisted clients with web and software development projects, disputed delivery of projects, fitness for purpose, IT security controls, digital forensics and cyber risk in the travel, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, financial services, charities/third sector and hospitality sectors.
Being an accomplished web and software developer, Nick is familiar with a variety of programming languages and frameworks.
Nick’s recent engagements for Kroll have included leading a digital forensic investigation relating to a major IPO, where he addressed allegations of historic cybercrime. He has also provided expert opinion on the disputed delivery of an e-commerce platform.
Further, Nick has investigated potential malicious activity following breach of a Software-as-a-Service platform’s security, and he has assessed software code bases for evidence of intellectual property theft.
Nick also managed a major project involving deep diving into the Software Development team’s activity, which included commit logs, time sheets and internal communications, to form an opinion on project quality and adherence to software development best practice.
