Mr James Studman has over 40 years’ experience within the construction industry, achieving RICS Chartered status in 2010. He has worked on the commercial management of rail infrastructure projects, such as cross-rail and station and depot upgrade works for London Underground. In recent times he has worked on housing disrepair for predominantly public sector residents.
Other traditional construction works include working on parts on the Broadgate development in the City of London and student accommodation projects. He is familiar with most standard industry forms of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and FIDIC.
Mr Studman is a Registered Expert Witness with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Commitments are provided to each fee proposal confirming his impartiality and no conflicts of interest, the knowledge and expertise for the task, and availability to complete within the time scale.
Quantum and forensic analysis of accounts in dispute are undertaken and a CPR compliant expert witness report provided complete with a Scott Schedule. These are produced for evidence in Court or other Tribunals. Subject areas can include such matters as construction, dilapidations and professional negligence.
All reports are compliant with the Civil Procedure Rules and the RICS Code of Practice. Mr Studman can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
