David Mobbs is an experienced coating specialist, with over 40 years’ experience in the specification of coatings and conformance to specification for the protective coatings industry. An excellent communicator at all levels, he specialises in failure analysis and expert witness work. He is a Professional Member of the Institute of Corrosion, a member of the Expert Witness Institute and a Chartered Engineer.
CIM is focused on conducting failure analysis and acting as expert witness for major assets around the world in the oil & gas, offshore renewables, mining, pipeline and infrastructure markets. The specific areas of those markets include atmospheric coatings, subsea coatings, internal linings, high heat and fire protection applications.
CIM have carried out these duties on large projects in NW Australia, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Chile and across the UK. They use over 40 years of practical knowledge to provide answers that reduce complexity and are understandable to the legal fraternity.
Over the last seven years CIM's evidence has been accepted in all of the work they have carried out through knowledge, detailed investigation and focus on the case in hand.
Instructions can be undertaken on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
