Internet and Multimedia Consultant
Jonathan Bishop is an internet and multimedia consultant. He specialises in online communities and e-learning, with a special interest in internet trolling, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, e-moderation, lurking, flaming, e-tivities, digital addiction and gamification. He also specialises in legacy technology and future systems, with a special interest in retro gaming, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, video game and social media addiction, smart cities, wearable technology and the network society.
Mr Bishop undertakes expert witness instructions, including the preparation of expert reports and giving evidence in court, in cases relating to all of these areas of expertise.
He has been involved with cases in the European Court of Human Rights, Royal Courts of Justice, Employment Tribunal, Charity Tribunal, Tax Tribunal, Criminal Injuries Tribunal, High Court (Administrative, Business and Property, and King’s Bench), County Court (Fast Track, Small Claims and Appeals) and Magistrates Court.
He has contributed to academic journals, books, and conference proceedings as well as giving expert interviews to TV, radio, newspapers and websites. This includes the BBC and ITV.
Mr Bishop can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
