With 30 years of experience as a captain and engineer, Mr Philip Duffy has operated vessels up to 50 meters in length - including superyachts, sailing yachts, powerboats and dive operations - across various global locations. He possesses extensive shipyard experience, overseeing new construction projects, supervising refits and providing expert consultation on classification society surveys and MCA Commercial Codes.
As a marine surveyor with 20 years of practice in France, Mr Duffy has surveyed vessels up to 80 meters in length.
He has conducted financial appraisals on a wide range of vessels, with values exceeding €80 million, for financial institutions, investment corporations and private individuals. He is the author of the IIMS Guide: Superyacht and Small Craft Valuations.
Mr Duffy undertakes expert witness instructions in cases relating to yacht and superyacht valuation disputes, defective survey scrutiny and damage assessments.
