Professor Peter Lodge is a consultant surgeon based at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
As one of the UK’s most experienced surgeons, Professor Lodge is particularly experienced in clinical negligence claims, but also in personal injury and criminal cases.
Recent cases have been related to HPB surgery, bariatric surgery, general and laparoscopic surgery and abdominal organ transplantation. He has also been instructed in cases involving injury and death related to cholecystectomy, liver and pancreatic resection, liver transplantation as well as major abdominal trauma and bariatric surgery.
He has undertaken capability assessments for NHS Trusts and reports for the GMC. In addition, he carries out detailed reviews of surgery services and individual surgeon reviews for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland. This involves making recommendations about how to improve the service offered to patients.
Professor Lodge can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
