Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Dr Phillip Johnstone has worked as a consultant in a large, adult and children Major Trauma Centre for over 10 years. Working in an MTC has ensured that he has an understanding of all case types that would typically present to UK Emergency Departments.
In addition, Dr Johnstone has experience in cases that would not be frequently seen in smaller Emergency Departments. His role as a Medical Examiner means he is experienced at investigating and reviewing cases to assess the standard of care provided.
He undertakes expert witness instructions, including the preparation of medico legal reports and giving evidence in court, in personal injury and clinical negligence cases relating to these areas of expertise.
Dr Johnstone holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Civil Certificate (2024).
