Dr Robert Buist is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician in active clinical practice with Fellowships from both RANZCOG and RCOG (London). Following training in New Zealand and the UK, he has practised continuously as a consultant since 1997, performing over 5,000 births.
Dr Buist has been undertaking expert witness instructions since 2000, including the preparation of medicolegal reports and giving evidence in court, in clinical negligence cases relating to his specialist areas of expertise. These include:
Dr Buist's credentials combine extensive obstetric practice with specialised medico legal training, ensuring opinions that are both clinically sound and legally relevant. He can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
