Our client is a regional Law Firm that has been established in the North West for many years. The Law Firm is now looking to recruit an Infrastructure Analyst who will work as part of the firm’s Infrastructure Team responsible for building, supporting and maintaining the firm’s IT systems. Specifically this will involve working with servers, networking and software. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.

This position is a 3rd Line role within the IT Infrastructure Team, a part of the firm’s IT Department. This is a varied role where multi-tasking and a variety of skills are required. The ability to work closely with the rest of the Infrastructure Team and other teams in IT will be an essential requirement.

Essential Skills:

In depth experience of supporting Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 in a multi-site environment.
Strong multi-site networking functions experience including DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
Experience of supporting a multi-site implementation of Active Directory
Experience of configuring and supporting VMWare.
Strong organisational skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to write technical support documentation to a high level.

Key Duties:

Pro-actively manage the firm’s IT systems, servers and networks.
Diagnose and resolve system, server and network technical issues in a 3rd line capacity.
Management of backups.
Management of systems patching.
Management of anti-virus systems.
Network configuration and installation.
Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the Infrastructure Team Leader.

Desirable:

MCSA or MCSE
CCNA
ITIL experience and qualification
Experience of Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Experience of the Asigra backup platform
Windows and software patching with WSUS
HP Blade and SAN operations, configuration and support
Configuration of Checkpoint firewalls
Configuration of HP & Cisco switches
Experience of Exchange 2010 or 2013 operational support
Mitel telephony support and configuration
Experience in a legal IT environment would be advantageous
