Mr Ashish Gupta is a practising Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon at Epsom & St Helier Hospital, Surrey where he is departmental lead for colorectal cancer. He also undertakes private work at Ashtead Hospital and Spire St Anthony Hospital in Surrey.

His specialist interest is laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer, as well laparoscopic bowel resections for inflammatory bowel disease. He also specialises in proctological procedures such as haemorrhoid treatment, particularly with the latest techniques of HALO procedure.

Mr Gupta acts as an expert witness, including the preparation of medico-legal reports and appearing in court, in personal injury and clinical negligence cases relating to his specialist areas of expertise. These include:
